After learning the names of the insects, Alice sets off again and discovers that she has forgotten the names of things, even her own name. Why, it's as much as I can do to see real people, by this light! Beware the Jabberwock, my son, the jaws that bite and claws that scratch Alice and the White Knight walk and talk together, and Alice finds a friend in the eccentric chessman.

Poems like Jabberwocky explore the limits of language, while the Walrus and the Carpenter are simply hilarious. Alice in the book is easy to follow Through the looking-glass book through the madness, as she is traveling through this chess board to become queen and the reader never loses sight of that. Wonderland and Looking-Glass Land Yeah, more on that in a momentwere dreamlike places divided into episodic chapters with their own set pieces but little driving a whole plot. Is that a bargain? Chapter 1: Looking-Glass house[ edit ] 'Twas brillig and the slithy toves, Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. Well, they are my choice form the Rare and Antique book store today.

But how can you talk with a person if they always say the same thing? Is that a bargain? In this adaptation, the Jabberwock materialises into reality after Alice reads "Jabberwocky", and pursues her through the second half of the musical. Whichever way they are read they still remain an enchanting read! I afterwards sent two corrections by post.
